A thread regarding donations to CMF
CMF does not make money from ads or partnerships, this entire forum is paid out-of-pocket by me.
That said, donations are greatly appreciated and will ensure this forum's longevity.
What donations go to:
I will use your donation money for keeping the forums online. Since I have no actual job besides CarX, this will also keep me fed. I will spend money on the forum when I reach a threshold that lets me. Ex - $70 in donations? I will immediately put it towards domain renewal years in advanced.
Down the road, if I am able to accumulate more donations, I will be able to buy server storage which would let you host files and images on the server. This is rather expensive so do not be expecting it any time soon.
What donations get you:
a $5 USD donation will get you access (all optional) to the following things:
- Complimentary 'Donator' userbar
- name glow
- name glitter
- name gradient or color
- Your own custom userbar (I will make it for you, or supply you with the .PSD to DIY)
-Custom Emojis
EMOJI DISCLAIMER: READ ME
Custom emojis are set by donators. we have no way to moderate them besides stripping access of the feature from you.
Emoji requirements: 32x32 MAXIMUM! .PNG, .JPG, .GIF format only.
Anything NSFW, racist, yadda yadda will mean you will LOSE access without any way to get it back.
You must host the emojis on something like imgur, as only links to said emoji work.
Our Terms & Conditions:
- No refunds are issued, but we will ensure you are happy with your username and userbar
- ONLY ADMINS can edit your name color/gradient/userbar etc. Sadly this is just how our Forum provider (ProBoards) works. If we can code a plugin to somehow change this, we will.
- We will not accept NSFW userbars. Slurs, pornography, offensive imagery, or otherwise unpleasant submissions will be turned around to be redone before we allow it.
- Once we set your userbar and name, you may submit a request to me, or an admin to change it after 15 days.This is so we are not constantly bombarded by requests to change these by someone who is indecisive.
(this rule is subject to change depending on our workload. If we are busy, expect this rule to be put in place. We can update your name if nothing else is going on)
How to donate:
Currently we only accept donations through PayPal as it is the most secure. Once your payment has gone through ($5 USD, remember) you may PM me on here, or ping me on discord in our main chat ( @ shakehips.com ) and let me know you've paid. send me your email or name you used in DMs (please not in general), and ideally a screenshot of your receipt. From there, I will ask you what options you want, and we can get your userbar set up. very simple and straight-forward process.
